1. Who we are

The Booko platform (website: booko.ge) is operated by:

In this document "Booko", "we", "the Company" means the above legal entity; "user", "you" means any user of the platform (buyer or seller).

2. Nature of the platform

Booko is an online platform (intermediary) connecting sellers and buyers of second-hand books. Booko is not the seller of the books --- it provides technical infrastructure, payment processing, and intermediation. The contract of sale is concluded directly between buyer and seller.

In the future the platform may offer additional services (e.g. courses, accessories) --- in these terms "item" includes all such products/services.

3. Age restriction

To use the platform, create an account, and enter into transactions, you must be at least 18 years old. By registering, you confirm you are 18 or older. Booko reserves the right to suspend or delete an account if a breach of this condition is found.

4. Account and registration

  • You are responsible for the security of your account and password.

  • You must provide accurate and truthful information.

  • One person must not create multiple accounts for fraudulent purposes.

  • Booko may refuse registration or suspend an account for breach of these terms.

5. Listings (for sellers)

  • The seller is responsible for the accuracy of the listing --- book condition, description, price, photos.

  • Listing items included in the Prohibited Items policy is forbidden.

  • Booko may, after moderation, refuse to publish or remove a listing.

  • By posting a listing, the seller confirms they have the legal right to sell the item.

  • The minimum listing price is 5 ₾.

9. Prohibited conduct

Users must not:

  • use the platform for unlawful purposes;

  • infringe others' intellectual or personal rights;

  • commit fraud, spam, or compromise the technical integrity of the platform;

  • attempt to sell prohibited items.

10. Limitation of liability

Booko is an intermediary and does not guarantee the performance of transactions between users, or the quality or condition of items, except as required by law. Booko is not liable for users' actions. To the extent permitted by law, Booko's liability is limited to the amount of commission paid on the specific transaction.

11. Account deletion

A user may request account deletion at any time (info@booko.ge). Booko will delete personal data in accordance with the Privacy Policy, except data that must be retained by law or by ongoing transactions.

12. Changes

Booko may update these terms periodically. Users will be informed of material changes. Continued use of the platform after changes means acceptance of them.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Georgia. Any dispute shall be resolved in the courts of Georgia.
